Description

Palmitoylethanolamide, better known as PEA, is a long-chain saturated fatty acid belonging to the family of N-acylethanolamines (NAE), which are fatty acid amides. Produced by the body, it is also found in small quantities in eggs, soy and milk. PEA is known to be involved in the endocannabinoid system, which is linked to physiological functions (nervous, circulatory, immune and endocrine systems) and whose main function is to react to stress in order to maintain the body's balance. It is present in all cells and in particular in the muscles, brain and liver.

A liposomal technology

A liposome is a spherical particle whose envelope has the same characteristics as our lipid membranes. The active ingredient Palmitoylethanolamide Complex** (PEA**) contained inside liposomes can reach the duodenum, where it passes the intestinal barrier, without being affected by the gastric juices of the stomach. The liposomal technology thus protects the Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) Complex from stomach acid attacks, allowing for better absorption into the body.
